🛡️ OBD Blok™ Installation Instructions

Secure Your Vehicle’s OBD-II Port in Minutes — No Tools Required for Most Vehicles

✅ Tools You May Need:

  • Hands only (for most vehicles)
  • 7mm socket or screwdriver (for select models with bolted OBD ports)
  • Optional: Flathead screwdriver or key to assist with prong release

🔧 Installation Steps:

1. Locate Your OBD-II Port

  • Typically found under the driver’s side dashboard, near the steering column or pedals
  • 16-pin trapezoidal connector

2. Remove the OBD Port From Its Mounting Slot

  • Option A: Press inward on side tabs or prongs to release (a flathead screwdriver or key may help)
  • Option B: Use a 7mm socket or screwdriver to remove bolts (varies by make/model)
  • Gently pull the port free without straining the wires

3. Insert the OBD Port Into the OBD Blok™

  • Align the port with the internal opening of the housing
  • Press firmly until the port is fully seated inside the enclosure

4. Install the Provided Keyed Lock

  • Insert the lock into the OBD Blok’s locking hole
  • Turn the key clockwise — the threaded lock will screw into place
  • Stop when the lock is nearly touching the OBD port
  • Remove the key

5. Test the Installation

  • Gently pull on the OBD Blok to ensure it’s locked and secure
  • Confirm the port is completely enclosed and inaccessible
  • Use the included zip tie to secure the unit to wiring or anchor it to a dash bracket if needed
  • ⚠️ Never drive with the OBD Blok partially attached or loose

🗝️ Key Tip:

We recommend hiding a key inside your vehicle (e.g., trunk, under floor mat) or zip-tying it in a discreet location.
Two keys are provided. Label Key #1 and #2 for reference.

🔓 To Remove:

  1. Insert the key and unlock
  2. Unscrew the lock using the key
  3. Slide off the OBD Blok
  4. Reinstall the OBD port into its original bracket if needed

⚠️ Important:

  • Unlock only for authorized diagnostic access
  • Never leave the OBD port exposed or dangling
  • Compatible with all 16-pin OBD-II ports (1996+ vehicles)
